State Road Closure to Impact Russellville Primary Traffic Patterns

*Important information regarding traffic changes beginning Nov. 17th at 7am.

The Hamblen County Department of Education wants to make families aware of a traffic change that will affect access to Russellville Primary School beginning Monday, November 17, 2025, due to a Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) road closure on Old Russellville Pike.

The closure will remain in place while TDOT completes major roadway improvements. This project will directly impact families traveling to Russellville Primary School, between East Ridge Middle School and Russellville Primary School, and it will also affect those traveling on Highway 11E, particularly during morning drop-off and afternoon dismissal. Drivers should expect delays and increased traffic volume in the area.

To assist drivers, the district has provided an updated traffic pattern map outlining alternate routes. Families and community members are encouraged to review the map carefully and plan additional travel time when arriving on campus or traveling in this area. The map is available on the district website.

The closure is expected to continue through the end of the 2025–2026 school year. Updates will be posted on the Hamblen County Department of Education website and shared through school messaging systems, social media, and local media outlets as new information becomes available.
